folk shows at the end of summer are quite a tradition in this city. people are moseying into town again, wondering where they're going to live, what autumn is going to bring, & inevitably they'll be hanging onto the season with everything they have left.
bum tickins are a two piece folk band that interprets & rearranges old songs in new ways. they might be too folk for the punx, & possibly too punk for the folkies.
recently they toured the entire country, not just back & forth from coast to coast, but up & down, & into every little pocket of canada they could find a place to play in. along the trip they self released their debut 12" which we should all try to get a copy of.
the duo of dee & dylan have been involved separately & together in many other projects such as octopidactic, the horse museum, a good story, sarah d., & have played solo shows as well.
locals snail party, whimsy & spite, & sockfoot will be filling out the lineup.
come out & sing along. bring some food for the potluck. maybe we'll have a nice bonfire too? tell your friends! summer is ending!
