CALL OUT FOR RSSC RESIDENCY PROPOSALS (HARBOUR WATER FEST RELATED)

The Roberts Street Social Centre has a residency program for zinemakers, screenprinters, performers, writers, musicians, organizers, makers and do-ers, movers and shakers, builders, and/or artists-of-all-sorts in Halifax, Nova Scotia! Come hang out and do a project for 2-3 weeks sometime between May - October. The folks at Roberts Street will provide you with space to do your project, equipment, materials, and support as well as somewhere to live while you are here.

We especially want someone to come around the time of Harbour Water Fest 4 (May 31, June 1 & 2) and do a project related to the fest! Last year Shannon Connor came from Milwaukee and did a series of screenprints from photos taken at the fest and then also wrote a zine called Harbour Water Fest 3: or Why I decided to visit Halifax and how at home I feel here. http://www.robertsstreet.org/posts/2012/06/01/art-show-resident-shannon-connor

The Roberts Street Social Centre is a collection of projects dedicated to providing free or affordable access to independent and alternative media, art, and education. Projects that are part of RSSC include the Anchor Archive Zine Library, the Ink Storm Screen Printing Studio, the People's Photocopier, the Crow's Nest meeting space, and an artist and zine-making residency program. http://www.robertsstreet.org/

This year residencies are two or three weeks long throughout the spring,
summer and fall. We are seeking both local and out-of-town applicants.
