APRIL 20TH, 2012 UPDATE

a few quick updates on what is going on in the next two weeks. first of all, there are four all ages shows coming up this weekend.
tonight the last almon shed show is happening. I've only been to a couple of the shows in this space but by far the most memorable was my first time seeing castle wolfenstein. all I could think was "where the fuck did these kids come from?", which is surely a comment on how isolated & separated different punk cliques can be. I don't know much about this show but if you happen to find yourself walking down the eastern portion of almon street tonight be sure to check this out. castle wolfenstein is the only band I know of that's playing. expect chaos.
on saturday night besides the asshole adult show @ shake it, there's an all ages folk punk show happening at the burrow. all of the details are on the flyer to the left.
read more about the burrow & their open door house policies by clicking here. if anyone has any questions regarding the burrow & how we interact within the space please get in touch with me directly either at ryleyhfx@gmail.com or diyhalifax@gmail.com.

not too long ago we found out roberts street social centre is staying put at least for the month of may which is great news but confusing for some who were already mentally preparing themselves for the move.
regardless the collective is throwing a "sentimental detachment party" on saturday, april 28th.
check out the flyer for all the details on what will be going down. hopefully the weather will be amazing & we can all enjoy being out in the backyard of roberts street.
the day will start around 4pm with a bbq, screenprinting demo, bands playing, a puppet show, & campfire when it starts getting dark.
lastly there's a house show for napalm raid who are heading away on tour once again. although the flyer doesn't say so it's happening on april 28th as well.
get in touch with us or ask one of the bands for the exact address!

stoked for all of this!
